Healing Land.Voices is an ongoing documentary photography project about Ukrainian women and their relationship with the natural world – in times of displacement, loss, and recovery. It brings together stories of Ukrainian women – those who left and those who stayed.

The women in this project live in Ukraine, Ireland, Portugal, Austria, and Belgium. Each portrait is accompanied by the woman’s own words about what grounds her – place, memory, nature, people. The land in these stories takes many forms. It is not always home. It is not always lost. But it is always present.
